The Rikli Reunion 2023 was held in Enid, OK. Evelyn Rikli Jones and Debi Rikli were the coordinators, with lots of help from Gloria Rikli Choat and Chris Rikli Anderson. Most out-of-town attendees stayed in the Holiday Inn Express on West Garriott Road (very nice accommodations). After a Friday afternoon meet and greet at the hotel, a lovely evening meal was catered at the Simpsons Old Town Museum in downtown Enid (located in the old Longbell Lumber Company building). Saturday morning coffee and pastries and chit chat was served in the Redemer Lutheran Church Family Life Center (Gloria’s church). Lunch Saturday was a picnic at Meadowlark Park (see group photo). The joy of the afternoon was heightened by the football victory of OU over Texas. Saturday evening was back at the Family Life Center for dinner, the talent show, and a short business meeting. The evening highlights were musical talent displayed by young family members and the continuation of the “Casey at the Bat” tradition. Narration was by provided by Colt Melrose (in place of his Grandfather Oliver). Pantomime was provided by Steve Rikli (in place of his Father Carol). Steve traveled all the way from California for the performance. See the pictures of the family groups. The business meeting mandated that the next reunion will be in late July 2025 in a place TBD. Our very own Pastor, Fred Jones, hosted the group for a Sunday morning church service (see pictures) and Luncheon at his church in Loyal, OK, the Loyal Evangelical Church. The Rikli Reunion is really all about getting to see and talk to your cousins. You will probably see your brothers and sisters during the year but may not see your cousins for many years. You can correct this deficiency by attending the 2025 Reunion.
